Cryotherapy for Skin Lesion Removal

Safe & Effective Treatment for Benign Skin Lesions

Pharmabeautics offers quick and effective cryotherapy treatment for the removal of warts, skin tags, and other minor skin lesions in Stevenage. Our mobile or in-clinic services are led by a qualified pharmacist, providing safe removal with minimal downtime and no referral needed.

This procedure uses extreme cold to destroy targeted skin cells, allowing healthy skin to heal naturally. Cryotherapy is a well-established, low-risk, and non-surgical treatment option with little to no downtime, making it a convenient choice for skin lesion removal.

What is Cryotherapy?

Cryotherapy works by applying liquid nitrogen or a similar freezing agent directly to the lesion, causing the cells to freeze and break down. Over the following days, the treated lesion scabs over and naturally falls off, revealing clear, healthy skin underneath.

How It Works:

Freezes and destroys abnormal skin cells using controlled cold temperatures.

Triggers the body’s natural healing process, leading to fresh skin regeneration.

Minimally uncomfortable – a mild stinging sensation may occur, but the procedure is quick.

No downtime – you can continue your daily activities immediately.

What Can Cryotherapy Treat?

Cryotherapy is an effective treatment for the removal of benign skin lesions, including:

Skin Tags – Small, soft growths often found on the neck, underarms, and eyelids.

Warts & Verrucas – Common and plantar warts on hands, feet, and other areas.

Seborrheic Warts – Harmless, wart-like growths that often appear with age.

Cherry Angiomas – Small, red, blood vessel growths on the skin.

Age Spots / Solar Lentigines – Darkened patches caused by sun exposure and aging.

Milia – Small, white cysts commonly found around the eyes and cheeks.

Actinic Keratosis – Rough, scaly patches that develop from sun exposure.

Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra – Small, dark spots commonly found on the face and neck, especially in darker skin tones.

Other Benign Skin Lesions – We can assess and advise on other non-cancerous growths.

🔴 Important: For mole removal, a doctor’s letter is required.

If you wish to have a mole removed, you must provide a letter from an independent doctor or suitably qualified medical professional confirming that the mole is benign and safe to remove. This is a mandatory requirement for treatment.

What to Expect from Your Treatment

1️⃣ Consultation & Assessment

Before treatment, we assess your skin lesion to confirm it is suitable for cryotherapy. During your consultation, we will explain the procedure, discuss potential side effects, and provide aftercare guidance to ensure the best results.

2️⃣ Cryotherapy Treatment

A freezing agent is applied directly to the lesion for a few seconds, destroying the unwanted skin tissue. You may feel a mild stinging sensation, similar to touching an ice cube.

3️⃣ Healing Process

The treated area may blister or scab over in the following days. It typically takes 4–6weeks for the skin to heal completely.

4️⃣ Follow-Up (if needed)

Some lesions may require multiple sessions for complete removal. If a follow-up session is necessary, we will discuss this during your consultation.
